Leon Martin (Him/He) | SENIOR MENTAL HEALTH CLINICIAN

Leon is an Accredited Mental Health Occupational Therapist with a Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy and over a decade of experience in the mental health field. He has worked across a wide range of settings, including triage, high acuity, community mental health, child and adolescent mental health, and offshore detention, spanning remote, regional, and metropolitan areas.

Leon adopts a collaborative approach, working alongside clients to shape sessions around their personal goals and priorities. He supports individuals aged 15 and over who may be experiencing anxiety, depression, anger management challenges, grief and loss, trauma, adjustment disorders, interpersonal or assertiveness difficulties, emotional regulation concerns, or general mental health and wellbeing issues.

Drawing from evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Emotionally Focused Individual Therapy (EFIT), Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Motivational Interviewing, and mindfulness, Leon tailors therapy to meet each client’s unique needs. He is especially passionate about improving mental health outcomes for young men and reducing stigma around help-seeking, particularly in rural and regional areas. Leon’s goal is to help clients overcome barriers and achieve their full potential.

Please note: Leon is a Mental Health Occupational Therapist and does not provide paediatric occupational therapy services.
