Janhavi Mistry (She/Her) | Psychologist

Janhavi has a particular interest in supporting individuals experiencing mood disorders such as anxiety and depression, managing stress, working through trauma, and addressing alcohol and drug use with a focus on both maintenance and relapse prevention. She is especially passionate about working with migrant populations, particularly women, and with busy professionals who are balancing the pressures of work and life.

In her practice, Janhavi takes a psychobiosocial and person-centred approach. She is trained in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Motivational Interviewing, and is currently expanding her skills in Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT).

With a collaborative and empowering style, she works alongside clients with the belief that they are the experts in their own lives.

Sessions with Janhavi are supportive and strengths-based, helping clients feel both safe and curious about their own experiences. Her goal is to foster agency so that clients leave feeling more confident, capable and empowered.
